NEW HAVEN, Conn.; May 2, 2024 – Avelo Airlines celebrates flying two million Customers in Southern Connecticut as the airline takes off today with exclusive nonstop service from Southern Connecticut’s most convenient airport – Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) – to Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) and to Charlotte’s Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA). Avelo is the first and only airline offering nonstop service from both Atlanta and Charlotte to Southern Connecticut.

Since Avelo took flight at HVN on November 3, 2021, more than two million Customers have flown through HVN on over 15,000 flights. To celebrate this milestone and the start of two new routes, Avelo Airlines is continuing to offer Connecticut travelers everyday low fares on these new flights.   • Avelo will operate this route four times weekly on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

• Charlotte, N.C. via Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA)

  • Avelo will operate this route initially twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. Beginning June 14, Avelo will double its flights to four times weekly with the addition of Mondays and Fridays.
