Avelo Airlines Adds Two Flights to San Juan for First-Ever Puerto Rican Day Parade on May 18

NEW HAVEN, Conn.; April 22, 2024 — Avelo Airlines today announced the addition of two nonstop flights from Southern Connecticut’s most convenient airport—Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN)—to Puerto Rico’s San Juan Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU). These flights offer travelers attending the first-ever Puerto Rican Day Parade in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Saturday, May 18, an affordable, convenient and reliable option for joining the festivities.

While the initiative is geared at increasing tourism on the island, there is exciting potential here for a mutually beneficial partnership between the initiative and Connecticut.
